Technology Transfer

Technology transfer course in cement plast artificial stone’s production line is as follows:

1. technology transfer course for non-upgradable manual cement plast production line: one session for theory and 2 sessions for practical training and technology transfer in Sam Stone company’s lab.

2. technology training course for upgradable manual production line: one session theory and three sessions practical cement plast technology training in the lab and workhouse of the SamStone company.

3.technology transfer course and training semi-automatic and automatic cement plast artificial stone production line: one session theory and three sessions practical cement plast technology training in the lab and work with SamStone company’s automatic machineries. Note that in the case of automatic and semi-automatic cement plast artificial stones, there’s two training sessions after the installation of the machineries in the site of the project including training to work with theautomatic and semi-automatic cement plast production line machineries and acquaintance with central control machine, training the personnel to produce and repair and maintenance of the machines.

At the end of each training course, the instructions booklet to make the special materials for production line would be offered.

1 - What are the materials used in Cement Plast stones?

Curred normal aggregate is a special type of cement, chemicals, polymers and mineral pigments of materials forming the Cement Plast.

2 - What is the quality of colors used on our products?

All colors used are of natural and mineral origin, and are quite deep. They are found in the heart of products The colors are completely resistant to sun and weathering.

3 - Is it possible to do the cutting and drilling on the stones?

It is possible to cut and drill hole like natural stones by granite-cutting disc and by diamond drill; and there is no chipped piece and slippage at any stage of this operation.

4 - How Cement Plast stone is installed on floors and walls?

There is no special conditions and expertise needed to install the stones. Installation is quite similar to that of natural stone, and can be done with routine methods such as slurrying and tile adhesive.

5 – How is the vertical adhesion strength (wall) of the product compoared to natural stones and ceramics?

Due to their calcareous origin, many natural stones have very low adhesion, and so they can not be installed without a scope. Furthermore, because of their origin of clay, ceramics have poor adhesion; but as there is minerals and natural materials and cement in their composition, the strength of its adhesion to cement grout and adhesive is extremely high in the Cement Plast stones.

6- What are the impacts of frost and bad weather conditions in cold regions on the installed stones?

Freezing weather and melting of ice in cold regions generally cause capillary cracks, fracture, and destruction of natural stones. Therefore, installation of natural stone for façade is generally not recommended in cold regions. But because of high temperature resistance and tolerance to frost, Cement Plast products could easily be replaced with natural stones in cold regions.

7 – How slippery is the surface of flooring stones of Cement Plast compared to that of ceramics?

Ceramics have waterproof glaze, so they have a very slippery surface and should be quite cautious when moving in moist places; while due to water penetration of 3% in the Cement Plast, friction is caused in wet conditions, and can prevent from being skippery of the surface of the product.

8- Is resin and lacquer coating needed to make the stone imperviousfor the use of Cement Plast on the exterior façade of buildings?

When using natural travertine and antique stones on the exterior façade of buildings, resin coatings and the colorless varnish are used to make the stone impervious to moisture and not create the darkness on the stone surface; however because penetration is much lower than these stones, no covering and varnish are needed for use in Cement Plast.

9 – how are Cement Plast stones in weight compared to natural stones?

The specific weight of Cement Plast is equal to 2200 kg per cubic meter, while the specific weight of natural stones is mainly 2700 kg per cubic meter. It reflects the fact that they are lighter than natural stones.

10 – On what part of the building can Cement Plast not be used?

In areas with constant moisture (such as pools and bathrooms), the use of the stone is not recommended. In the natural stones, minerals are drawn to the surface due to the constant humidity – the phenomenon which occurs as saltpetre on the surface of the stone and is also the case in Cement Plast stones. Usually in such areas, the use of ceramics is recommended because of its waterproof glazes.

11 - In brief, what are the advantages of using Cement Plast stones than that of natural stones?

Here are some advantages of using artificial stone of Cement Plast.

1.   Much cheaper cost,

2.   Resistance to high temperatures, and use in cold regions,

3.   a variety of types and colors, and the ability to define color

4.   higher Resistance to moisture penetration than many natural stones,

5.   Easy to install, and less expensive than natural stone
